If successful, Google's newest product can help to exclude one of the most painful and tough daily routines of diabetics.
People with diabetes are facing difficulty while controlling their sugar level in their blood so they can monitor their glucose levels.Simply by using small pin taking their blood onto test strips and checking them into an electronic reader.
Google's smart contact Lens can potentially make blood sugar monitoring far less invasive.
The prototype contacts are outfitted with tiny wireless chips and glucose sensors fitted between two contact lenses. They can measure blood sugar levels after every second, and Google is also working on a project for putting LED lights inside the lenses which will flash when those suagr levels are too low or high.
The Device in the lens are to small that they appear to be specks of glitter.According to Google The wireless antenna is thinner than a human hair.
They are still testing and not yet ready for prime time. Google is also working on clinical research studies, and the company is in touch with the USA's Food & Drug Authority.
The smart contacts lens are made in Google's famous Google X labs, idea behind these projects that could solve some of the world's biggest problems. Google X labs is also working on Self Driven cars and balloons that trough Wi-Fi signals to remote areas.
Google's contact lens project is not the first attempt at building the technology. For many years, scientists have been working by using other body parts like tears to help people to measure their glucose levels
